About the Dragonfly 3D World
Dragonfly 3D World is image-processing and analysis software offered by Comet Yxlon for CT data. Unlike the system-bound packages of the Software Suite, it is a standalone analysis environment that imports 2D, 3D and 4D images and volumetric data from many sources (X-ray, SEM, FIB-SEM, confocal microscopy and others).
Its deep-learning segmentation engine, with wizard-based model training, separates materials, pores and features with less operator bias. Quantitative tools cover porosity and void analysis, wall-thickness analysis, size/shape measurements (volume, surface area, Feret diameter, sphericity and more), fibre orientation and length, meshes and models, and deviation of the scanned part from its STL design.
It is used on the FF, UX, CC and CA product lines and forms the basis of Dragonfly-powered Insights packages. Note: Dragonfly 3D World performs analysis; dimensional results are only as reliable as the underlying CT data and system qualification.
