UX50
450 kV X-ray and CT system for dense, complex parts up to 100 kg, with flat-panel and/or CTScan 3 line detector and multiple field-of-view extensions.

About the UX50
The UX50 extends the UX series to high energy: a 450 kV mini-focus tube and a large inspection envelope make it suitable for massive engine blocks, larger steel parts and complex e-mobility components.
It can be configured with the Y.Panel 4343 N flat-panel detector, the Comet Yxlon CTScan 3 line detector, or both. The line detector is efficient at high energies with reduced scatter; the flat panel is more versatile and faster for cone-beam CT. With both, operators switch image chains within one sequence; single-detector systems can be upgraded on site.
Comet Yxlon states voxel sizes down to 55 µm. Voxel size is the reconstructed grid spacing and depends on magnification; it is not the same as spatial resolution or measurement accuracy. CT techniques include QuickScan, QualityScan, HeliExtend, horizontal/vertical field-of-view extensions, a patented horizontal FoV extension for fan-beam CT, plus ScatterFix 2.0, BHC and MAR image corrections.

Frequently asked questions
Is 55 µm the resolution of the UX50?
It is the smallest stated voxel size. Actual detail detectability depends on focal spot, magnification, part material and scan parameters.
