eddyQlab Ai VL
Model: eddyQlab Ai VL
Semi-automated, one-button lab system for CV joints that predicts surface hardness and case depth non-destructively using AI and machine learning.

About the eddyQlab Ai VL
The eddyQlab Ai VL (vertical large) is the CV joint version of the eddyQlab Ai. The CV joint and a reference part are placed vertically on the base plate of the tower-style test unit; one button starts the cycle, in which two coils travel along the part and record eddy-current signals at up to eight positions.
A separate control unit with a Beckhoff PC runs the AI software and can be stored under the lab bench; it is prepared for remote support. Results are reported on the Vickers or Rockwell scale as predictions derived from the trained model, within the published part-size limits.

Questions answered by ibg
What is the eddyQlab Ai VL used for?
The eddyQlab Ai VL is the ideal non-destructive lab solution for predicting the case depth and hardness of CV joints. The CV joints are positioned vertically (VL-vertical large) on the base plate of the Test Unit.
What are the dimensions of CV joints for testing with the eddyQlab Ai VL?
CV joints of a shaft length of max. 550 mm, a max. shaft diameter of 145 mm and a bell diameter of max. 55 mm can be tested using the eddyQlab Ai VL.
What does VL in eddyQlab Ai VL stand for?
The VL stands for “vertical large”, which indicates the direction of movement of the coils on the test unit.
