Ai Cube CDP
Model: Ai Cube CDP (case depth prediction)
Compact AI module that uses eddy-current signals from eddyvisor S and eddyliner S instruments to predict case depth of induction-hardened parts, in the lab or inline.

About the Ai Cube CDP
The Ai Cube CDP connects to eddyvisor S and eddyliner S instruments and evaluates their eddy-current signals with an embedded deep-learning model. ibg states that the model is pre-trained on induction-hardened parts and is then trained for the customer's part at ibg's laboratory in Ebermannstadt using a small number of sample parts.
Results can be reported as predicted hardness at a given depth or predicted depth for a given hardness. The prediction applies to the trained part geometry and process; it complements rather than replaces the destructive testing on which the model is based. The Ai Cube can be retrofitted to many installed ibg instruments — compatibility is checked case by case.
- Accelerating batch changes, improving efficiency.
- Minimizing time delays for verification e.g., during shift work, enhancing efficiency.
- Achieving more consistent quality, increasing the value-claim.
- Using consistent quality to refine the process, optimizing energy and CO2 utilization.
- Compact Design
- Retrofittable to existing ibg instrumentation for structure testing
- Standard interface to PC
- Comprehensive visualization
