Crack & Grinder Burn Test Instruments

Grinding, turning and milling can thermally damage the near-surface zone of steel parts. ibg's crack test family — eddyguard C, eddyliner C and eddyvisor C — detects cracks, pores and grinder burn in one pass, as a 100% inline test at the end of the production line.

Up to 30 bandpass filters are evaluated simultaneously, each with an automatically generated 360° tolerance zone. Using iPMFT and good-part-only referencing, tolerance zones are learned from good parts instead of being set up on artificial master defects, which ibg states reduces pseudo-rejects while keeping real flaws visible.
