About the Diameter Sorter 0310 / 0820
The Diameter Sorter 0310 and 0820 measure each ball with a high-precision LVDT probe and sort it into seven size groups plus a NOK channel. ibg states a repeatability of ±0.15 µm.
An optional microstructure test using an eddyguard S and eddy-current probe sorts out balls of a different material or hardness (ferromagnetic steels only).
