Overview

About the High Speed Ball Structure Sorter

Soft balls or balls of the wrong material in a safety-relevant bearing can cause failures. The ibg ball sorter tests complete batches of finished balls for correct material properties using PMFT and harmonic analysis with an eddyliner S and structure test probe.

Two standard versions cover 1.5–6.0 mm and 6.0–25.0 mm balls; small balls can be tested at more than 10 per second and larger balls at up to 6 per second. A fast solenoid sorts each ball to OK or NG. Special versions from 1.3 mm are available on request.

Key features
  • for small balls (1.5 – 6.0 mm)
  • for large balls (6.0 – 25.0 mm)
  • ball sorter mechanic (feeder, exchangeable transport discs, discharge chute, cabling, and switch box with control electronics)
  • ibg eddy current instrument eddyliner S and an ibg structure test probe
