Model: eddyguard neo® S

Next-generation eddy-current controller for microstructure testing, built for easy machine integration, Industrial Ethernet connectivity and multi-device control.

ibg eddyguard neo S
Overview

About the eddyguard neo S

The eddyguard neo S is ibg's newest structure-test controller. It is designed for machine builders and plants that need ECT controllers integrated tightly into automation and data systems: Industrial Ethernet connects it to production systems, up to 25 controllers can be run from one user interface, and inspection results are traceable.

Testing uses iPMFT with eight sequenced test frequencies plus two simultaneous harmonics, combined with good-part teaching. ibg lists an Ai ADVANCED version for hardness prediction; as with all ibg structure tests, set-up relies on correct reference parts and a coil suited to the part geometry.

Eddy-current structure testing is comparative: the instrument learns tolerance zones from known good, correctly heat-treated reference parts and reports whether each part matches that reference. It does not output an absolute hardness value or a direct case-depth measurement; parts that fail should be examined metallurgically or with a conventional hardness test to establish the cause.

Key features
  • higher detection sensitivity
  • modern and intuitive user-interface
  • radically easy-to-integrate
  • multi-device and remote control
  • advanced traceability
  • rugged housing
  • Ai ADVANCED version: hardness prediction for best-in-class performance and usability for structure testing
  • Good-Part-Teaching
  • Preventive Multi-Frequency Testing by ibg (iPMFT) in combination with and Simultaneous Harmonic Analysis by ibg (iSHA)
  • Eight high-speed sequenced test frequencies plus two simultaneous harmonics to detect even subtle differences in the microstructure
  • The smart frequency sequencing prevents parts from becoming magnetized and actively demagnetizes them
  • No need for NOK parts during setup ( however, verification with NOK master is recommended).
  • Setup requires only a small number of standard teaching parts (13 to 21), representing the part category. This significantly speeds up the setup process and ensures high reliability.
  • Track and trace of teaching parts and NOK parts
  • Tolerance zones are automatically generated from the fingerprint of the teaching parts.
  • Set-up and teaching are designed to be performed by the operator.
